Self-Portrait

A sort-of self-portrait. I'm not sure how accurate it is, hence the "sort-of."  My human anatomy/drawing is lacking I think?? so i ended up liquifying and stretching a bit until things looked right but now I'm not sure it actually looks like me.

Anyway, I haven't ever really done much with painting humans, but I learned a lot in the course of making this! I feel like I understand color a lot more than I did when I started. I worked from the chest up, and I actually had to go back and redo the entire chest once I'd gotten to the nose, because I got so much more color in that "my" chest looked super gray and dead.
also i got lazy with the hair. curls are hard. don't judge me man.

I'm planning on uploading a few more non-manipulations in the next few days as well!
